For mostly family cruising keep it a stick.
If you’re going to the track a lot then an automatic makes sense. Driving around with the family in a high-stall automatic car would suck.
The Nash was the only choice 40 years ago but since then there are far superior boxes available.
Either teach the wife to deal with the stick or buy her another automatic car.
What’s the point of having a bunch of time and cash invested in a hobby car you really won’t be happy with ?
