Paint removal and polishing on the grilles for the Le Mans convertible.
Most of the paint had faded away from many years sitting in the desert on the car I salvaged these from so there really wasn’t much paint left on them. Using some 0000 steel wool removes what’s left of the paint and removes the layer of dull scuzz off the clear anodized surface.
I’m going to leave them bare and bright and forgo the painting.
Almost ashamed to admit it but both of my beloved ‘64s haven’t seen the road in 20 years, but I haven’t given up on them.
