It's done electronically, much like you do with EFI setups and timing control. In the light throttle cruise areas where vacuum is high you add timing in those areas, just like a vacuum advance does.

At least I would hope you could do that with this ignition, however trying to look at a timing graph on a phone would be about ridiculous, you really need a lap top to dial it in correctly.
