The original paint numbers were for a lacquer mix. The 0 degree gloss flat paint used on the metal dash structure had a suede additive which promoted a mild texture finish. Good luck trying to obtain/replicate in the lacquer paint mix w suede additive today.

This is an area I always look at early on when viewing freshly "restored" cars from local & regional shops that turn out multi make vehicles. Typ, the results viewed have been mediocre at best. With the substitution of modern paints, one will see everything from BC with a matte clear..uggh.. to the experimenting with misting of a dry coat on top of heavier coats.
