I figured until I can pull the engine this fall or winter to see what exactly is in my ‘69 400 that’s in my LeMans, I’ll try running some octane boost. I bought a couple cans of that Torco Accelerator and figured I’d try it out. I was getting detonation at WOT. I dumped a quart in, then went and filled up the 20 gallon LeMans tank. I went on a 15 mile ride, and after it warmed up, gave it a couple WOT pulls. No detonation heard. It is cool here, but barometer is well over 30. I’ll have to check it again on a hot day too.
