Used the factory brackets and 12-point metric fasteners on two of my 1964 A-body Pontiacs, installing one is no different on a 1969. You can’t use regular hex head hardware as there’s not enough clearance.

I used urethane sway bar bushings on one car and a factory rubber bushings on the other so both types can be used with the factory sway bar brackets.
