I refuse to "align" the clutch disc using a plastic alignment tool. I refuse to "align" the clutch disc using a metal tool including an old input shaft.
I align the disc BY EYE. ONE eye. Buy a Pirate patch if you need to. When the splines of the disc are equal-distant around the pilot bushing, you're good-to-go.
