So my message for searchers is do it but don't push physical activity until the last eye inspection by your doctor. I had four inspections, extended the normal routine by one. My right eye's cataract is coming on strong now too so it will get done as
well.

I also have double vison. It came on slowly about 16 years ago. It gradually got worse as the day went on. I could no longer drive without closing one eye.
Eye Dr. sent me to a specialist who after exam, also asked if I ever had a concussion. He said he was sure that was the cause of my vision. He explained that as I got older, my eye muscles could no longer correct my vison. As you get older you do loose muscle strength. Putting prisms in my lens(both) corrects it.
16 months ago I had to have cataract surgery in both eyes. Everything was great until about 3 weeks after my right eye was done, I had a horrible pain in that eye that woke me in the middle of the night. I went downstairs, and soon as I turned the kitchen lights on, It felt like a lightning bolt shot me in the eye and knocked me to the floor.
Went to Wills eye hospital and turns out I got a RARE disease called Endolphlamitis
I am still fighting it , but has gotten much better. I probably will have to put steroid drops in that eye for the rest of my life.
