funny you mention this as i had a noise i thought was the fuel pump eccentric. turned out it was 2 of the 4 bolts holding my crank pulley on were almost out completely. this was just 3 days ago. Tightened them all up with locktite and noise in now gone. that could've ended up real bad. Glad you found out as well before it was a bigger problem.
