I made a plate to mount on the carb pad to be able to pressurize the intake with all intake rockers off, and see what is leaking. I sealed the studs a while ago and I do believe it made it better. I still smoke only at idle. Ill test later today.

There's a thread in the street section that I believe is what I might have.

Home Porting Unexpected Feature

The head bolt holes all break through in mine and are sleeved. Its been like this since I've bought the car. I really cannot remember if it smoked at idle before, but in my rebuild I did have the heads cleaned and checked out at a cylinder head shop so maybe the sealing is compromised from the cleaning? I did not put any sealer on the top or bottom of studs. Just like his findings I use the fel pro 1016 gaskets with the slotted opening for those studs. Exposing the crankcase. I have a evap smoke tester that pushed 1 psi but I do have other fittings I can bump up the psi higher.
