Somewhat related, I bought one of those knee pads at HD, its about 2' square more or less. 2" or so thick. I liked it so much I bought a couple more. Great cushion for the old knees. They had them for something like $15. I have seen the car places, summit etc. selling basically the same thing for $30-$40
