My engine builder said my LeMans heads are done. He machined them to 92 cc so that should put me at 8.0-8.2:1 area on CR. No more detonation worries. I already have a Summit 2800 and Hy lift Johnson lifters to throw in.
I talked to him a week or two ago about him cleaning up the block as long as I have it out. The cam bearings look pretty rough too, so I’m going to drop the block off so he can tank the block and hone it, polish the crank, and install new cam bearings. I’ll do the assembly.
Feel like my 400 engine project was stalling out, so it feels good to be moving forward again.
