On my 70 Formula, with the stock 1 1/2” drop base air cleaner, I measure 8.25” from centerline of upper water pump bolts to the top of the air cleaner.
Using wadded aluminum foil on top and closing the hood, I measure about 9.0” max clearance from water pump bolts.

*edit. That 11.25” measurement seems really high. Are you 100% on that?
You're right, those numbers are not from the top water pump holes. I measured it this morning from the two top holes to the supercharger lid, and I measure 8.5".

I'll take some pictures when I can get somebody to hold the camera while I take the measurements.

So it seems like this will fit a 2nd Gen firebird but we do want to check carefully. When we get the production castings, I will send a full size machined mock up to whoever does the first 2nd Gen bird, we can confirm hood clearance with this.
