I remember as a kid we had a dumb dog and have no memory of where we got him. Kind of a terrier looking thing.
My mom was making hot dogs one day. She dropped one on the floor right out of the boiling hot pan. The dog of course pounced on it. He took a bite, burned his mouth, and proceeded to start barking at the hot dog.
This same dog got loose from the yard one day as me and my brother watched and tried to coax him back in the yard. He was just run wild at full speed with the zoomies. He ran out in the street and right in front of a VW bug, which ran him clean over. He rolled under the car a few times and let out a yelp. He came out the back and proceeded to run in his zoomies circles without missing a beat. The guy stopped to see how he was. We just waved him off and said “He’s fine!”
