I rode in the car before the tuning was complete, and the power is most impressive.
Here are some of the highlights:
- No hood clearance problems.
- No under hood clearance issues, power steering box, exhaust, etc. all cleared.
- No real issues with the supercharger/intercooler/front drive install in general, this part went pretty smoothly. Some shimming was necessary for one of the idler pulleys to insure alignment, but other than that, no issues. The idler pulleys are designed to take shims to allow for a perfect fit for every car.
- There were some issues around the EFI installation, as is typical when converting any carbureted car to full sequential EFI.
o The crank trigger and cam signal setup is a little tricky when using the front mounted crank trigger instead of the dual sync trigger. Once setup correctly, there were no issues.
o This particular system has 8 separate coils for individual spark trim and individual cylinder fuel trim. These coil systems have very high voltage, so the grounds are super important. Once the grounds were sorted, there were no issues.
Some takeaways from the install:
- It was helpful to have a radiator with the inlet and outlet both on the passenger side. It can be done with a traditional driver side inlet hose but packages much more nicely with both hoses on the passenger side. Cold Case sells a reasonably priced radiator with both fittings on the passenger side- and one was used here.
- The supercharger part of the installation was fairly easy and everything fit pretty well with no rework of any parts necessary, the EFI part was more difficult.
- The engine runs very smoothly, idles nicely and is a very tractable street engine with plenty of power under boost.

Just wondering where you landed on boost, how many psi? Is the plan to run this engine on 91 pump gas?
Thanks!
