People act like an engine swap somehow ruins whatever personal memories that were made over the years with said car. The nostalgia for the car doesn't change, just because it's been repowered with another V8.

Example, my 71 has been powered by multiple Pontiac engines, multiple different transmissions (autos and manuals), and multiple rear axle setups. It currently has an LS in it. I still feel the same way about that car all these years later.
