FWIW I've found dealing with a professional welder is a better choice. They will just make the repair and move on to the next job. Professional's will not complain about the difficulty of the job .... They'll just fix it.


I remember picking up a pair of RAIV heads at a very appealing price years ago. Against my my recommendation for fixing them, the guy took the heads to a very reputable head shop. He was told "if they can't fix'm no one can". Well when the heads were deemed unrepairable I purchased them for scrap. I sent them to the guy I originally suggested and $150 later they were repaired. We raced them for several years and then sold them to a nostalgic road racer.... They're still in service today.
