I think this a new trend. I sold some parts to a guy who owned a NM 69 Trans AM. He told me it was show quality, but if he had just left it alone it would have been worth more with the original patina. I think the black plates are reissues. The front end pic shows a blue plate that appears to have been issued from the mid 70's. Also has a plate frame from Silveria Pontiac in Healdsburg CA. Car was probably traded in/sold from there in the mid 70's.

I like original paint cars... but thats a little too rough for me.
