To check the lobe lift on a camshaft, measure the largest diameter of the cam lobe (at its highest point) with a digital caliper, then measure the diameter of the base circle
(the flat section between lobes), and subtract the base circle diameter from the lobe diameter to get the lobe lift; essentially, you are calculating the vertical distance the cam lobe rises from its base circle.

The XE solid roller lobe 4857 has 0.3350" lobe lift
Both are rated with 288 degrees
