I think we're going to see a lot more mergers and consolidation in the automotive industry over the next decade. Development costs are through the roof, and so are the prices of new vehicles. The consumer is tapped out, and prices keep going up. Somethings got to give. I bought a 2021 Super Duty, and if I bought that same exact truck in a 2025 model year, it is $19,000 more. That's not sustainable for anyone. We've got Ford and Volkswagen working together, Ford and GM developing transmissions together, GM and Hyundai paired up, plus the whole Stelantis thing going on, plus Toyota owns a significant portion of both Mazda and Subaru. I think we're going to lose or combine 3 or 4 more manufacturers, and close a significant number of factories before it's all over with.
