That wilson throttle body is awesome. It is not too large. It's not a carb and does not need high velocity across the venturi to pull fuel. It has nothing to do with intake velocity which is related to the head port cross sectional area and not the carb or throttle body (unless it is restricting it). I currently have a holley xflow 900cfm rated TBI on my 535 with 375cfm wp butler edelbrock heads. It has too much restriction as I can only get to 90-94kpa at 6k+ wot which is 1.7"-3" of vacuum meaning a bit too much restriction. I am changing to a wilson dominator tb and doing the terminator x with mpfi. With all that said, you're definitely under performing on et and. speed. You sure the compression and everything else is what you believe it to be?
