Second the independent agent, mine saved me a ton over Liberty Mutual. He is actually an agent for Liberty Mutual, and he knew he could save me a bunch over them.

A farm policy is what I currently have and with 4 acres and numerous out buildings plus switching my auto insurance, I'm about 30% cheaper than I was for only a house in the suburbs with no out buildings, plus my auto policy. I had Liberty Mutual for 50 + years, and they were overcharging me for coverage all that time. I had a claim with a tree limb falling on my new metal roof at the time. It was like pulling teeth to get them to replace 8 roof panels that were damaged. Their adjuster only wanted to replace 2 of them, when 8 sustained damage.

I already had one claim with the new company for a tree limb falling on the garage roof, they paid me to repair the hole in the roof and re-shingle the whole roof. No complaints with their paying for a claim either, I feel they were more than fair. From here on out I'll deal with an independent agent for all my insurance needs, I wish I knew better years ago, I could have saved a ton of money over the years.
