CAD
Hey there, new to the site so apologies if this repeating. I’m working with a fabricator to develop an adapter plate for a modern transmission (think 6L-10L) for my 1968 firebird. I wa going to do an LS swap in the thing as I won it in an auction. I get it home and it’s numbers matching. Nostalgia in me wants to keep the Pontiac engine but I still want to modernize. Oh, and the current trans is a powerglide. I’ve worked out the controller problem through upgrading to EFI, now it’s getting the adapter fabricated. To wit, I can send a bunch of parts to the CNC folks, or I can send drawings. Does anyone have CAD drawings of the Pontiac/BOP back of engine? Ideally I can nab the full suite of transmissions too.
I know I could just buy a TCI 6X , drop in a 4Lxx, or go a TH350 and gear vendors but I still wanna have some fun shoehorning a modern transmission on a vintage, albeit updated, engine.
