With the knob off, save the wave washer as it gives the knob its little bit of spring when assembled.
There is a starter hole in the shaft end of the knob. I take a #29 drill bit and by hand with battery drill slowly drill approximately. 3/4" deep. Carefully not to drill thru the knob plastic but deep enough that your into the plastic.
When starting the drill it will go crooked a few times. Just back it out as it will waller around until you get the hole started straight. Hold it straight and it should follow the hole. Net take an #8-32 tap and tap as deep as possible. Tap by hand. Needs tapped into plastic as this will hold the pan head machine screw locked in so it won't turn as you crank the window up or tighten as you crank it down. Kind of like a nylon insert lock nut.
