That’s not entirely true certain cam specs you’ll blow the charge air right through the cylinder and it’ll run like dog **** it’ll still run but not very well. What is true is that the turbo is very forgiving of set ups that aren’t optimized that I’d agree with you on. One of the biggest misconceptions in turbocharging is that bigger is better in exhaust.
It’s also a big misconception that you need a roller cam I know guys running 7s on solid flat tapper cams. And 2.5 inch pipes from the header to the turbo .
