That totally makes sense. That manufacturer part number on the hose that The Parts Place (I assume mistakenly) left on the hose in the pic does show up in reference to ‘70’s Chevy trucks!
Yep the supposedly “correct hose” that I have does indeed have that crimp in the middle of the hose too. Thanks for that Gates number too. That could be another piece in the puzzle hidden on some obsolete cross reference sheet out there that’ll help tie things all together as we figure it out.
