Also, what's your tune? Initial timing, are you using vacuum advance and if so, manifold or port vacuum to the distributor? Airflow is indeed the most important factor for idle temps, but ignition timing plays a big role, too.

14 initial, running somewhere around 12 degrees manifold vacuum advance. It likes a little more, but I wanted to be reasonable with the rest of the tune. I am a fan of manifold vacuum advance for the idle performance.
