On an original build sheet for this plant '77 Pontiac, box 31, IF it's legible will note a two letter (pick) code for the alternator. With no '77 Assembly Manual copies available, & limited info avail in the '77 Service manual, etc, one is left to examine very original cars OR listen to serious collectors/restorers that have... As a long time Pontiac collector, restorer, & original parts provider, original Pontiac alternators, brackets, pulleys, correct water pumps, are something that have a VERY good handle on.
awesome, I always welcome learning from the guys who’ve got more knowledge! My car is a W72 SE 4 spd car built 3rd week of December 76. My understanding is id need 55A alternator P#1102478 and distributor P #1103271. Also water pump P# 488296. Been searching for november and late october 76 for these parts. Whatre your thoughts?
