Yeah not worded how I would interpret it, that's why there's a question mark on that sentence, must be a southern thing

If it's the other way around 190 on the seat is quite a bit more than I use on Hydraulic rollers, even on a BBC that has one of the heaviest valvetrains among engine brands. Pontiacs aren't exactly light valvetrain either and typically use more spring pressure than say a SBC for example.
I'm personally not overly alarmed at those numbers if that's what they are. Paul spec'd a spring for dad's Pontiac at around 150 seat pressure and 400 open. The most recent SBC I built was 140 on the seats and around 360 open.
