Even if you buy a hardware kit, and quality wheel cyls ( Raybestos $47 ) you're way under $100.
I've used PowerStop parts (Kit with slotted rotors and pads), and lining on my own cars and trucks, and have found it perfectly acceptable for towing, and performance street driving. Under $30 you could give it a try.
