Hopefully you have the D-port long branch manifolds for the GP. My brother built and dyno'd a '69 428HO engine (4-speed car) and with 10.5 to 1 compression and a Summit 2801 cam made 425 hp and 500 lb-ft torque, so would move a 4100 lb GP down the quarter mile in the mid-13's with ease.

If I recall correctly, he needed to use flat top pistons (or less dish) to get the compression up with the 62 heads since their chambers cc's at 72 after resurfacing.

That engine sounds like my neighbor's Steve Johns, he has a black on black 428 four speed 69
