Retired last year at 66. Unless you have a solid “plan B”, hobby, volunteering, traveling, caregiver, and-or something to wake up to and stay occupied then retirement ain’t what it’s cracked up to be. I try to exercise, have set chores, tinker with the Firebird, help with grandkids, and knock down the honey do projects everyday. Even then there’s the idle times that I’m not good with. I would have worked longer but after 44 years on the job I was “encouraged” to retire via budget-salary restraints within the organization.
