I sure hope you get it fixed!
My experience is that the pipe stud bosses are the weak point - I cannot recall having noticed one of these cracking on the rear of the casting!
My issue was on the drivers side where there were only to bosses to begin with...
That one bad recommendation to have the studs replaced the summer after I got my car had long term repercussions - It took me probably fifteen years before I was finally able to get a proper repair to one of the pipe stud bosses on one of my manifolds...
So few people do cast iron repair these days.
