i was plannin to buy a new glass deck for my 65, but had the one that came with tbe car an decided to fix it. mine had several chios in it. my dogs even chewed a 1" by 12" are off. i started by da sanding the paint pretfy good with 220 paper. i used upol urethane 2k primer mixed thin as a sealer and put over it to give me a good surface to work on and not cake the primer on. once scuffed, i fixed the chips indivudually with evercoat 2pt scratch puddy. blocked most all of the sealer off a re sealed. fixed any missed spots and did my glass repair and came back with coat mixed for filling and put a coat over everything. i used that to block out and remove tbe smaller sand scratches and smooth over the glass repair. after all that a final seal coat was put on. if your prepping for pant, your gonna end up sanding most the primer off. my decklids ready for paint now, but i coukd easily break through the primer with a couple passes of 400grit so its not to thick
