A few years ago I was driving through the Oregon Cascades. It was a two lane State Hwy that we drove all the time. We didn't see the event, just the aftermath. A Walmart semi was going down the road when a Suburban pulled out in front of him. The semi crossed over the oncoming lane and went into the forest. The trees there are all mature Douglas firs, many of which are huge. I don't know if it was just luck or incredible driving but the Semi came to a stop about 150 feet into the forest. The cab was 100% intact. Somehow, he missed all the big trees. Unbelievable.
