Every other driveshaft I have ever installed has had ridges on the pinion yoke to seat the u-joint caps and assure the u-joint is centered. Mine doesn't have any ridges.

Yeah the pinon yoke gets C -clips on it also so it centers it. If there not there then the ujoint will move on you eventually.
