Assuming an automatic transmission (which the wiring diagram doesn't) the pink wire going from the ignition switch "sol" to the "transmission switch thing" should continue from another terminal on the "transmission switch thing" through the junction previously discussed to the "S" terminal on the starter solenoid. The "transmission switch thing" is what only allows starting the motor while the transmission is in Park or Neutral.
