What I found.

I had an earlier 2 connector delay motor, these were found in pre-79 Firebirds and I believe they were originally Corvette, Caddy and other higher end models of that vintage. The electronics may be different but the relay appears the same.

This is the 1979-83 motor currently being sold, no black with pink wire.

The timing circuit board is completely different between the 1 and 2 connector setups. I also note this contact on the underside of the stamped metal base connected to the board. I assume that the 4 petaled rotor breaks the connection during each swipe?

None of my newer motors have this rotor - I do not know why, maybe when you swap motors your reuse your old rotor?
