From my understanding, you are currently 10* retarded, so you would need 10* advance. So in order to get closer, you should have the keyway set to 8a and the dot lined up to 8a.

Honestly if you got to 109*, that should be good enough. But if you wanted a bit more adjustment, you could use one of these:

The combination of timing gears and the offset cam key may be able to get you to where you want.
