Congrats (anyway); beautiful car.

It is routinely said at my local AACA chapter meetings that there are two types of owners of show cars: those to whom "The Trophy" means everything, and those to whom it means nothing (or very little). I suppose this is true of points-judged events, but there is another layer when it comes to popular vote, which adds two more types: those who just want a fair assessment by the voters of the car on its own merits, and those who are stuck on the "popularity contest."

I was talking to a fellow last year who was absolutely incensed when he attended a local show and where he knew everyone there and then received no award (he did have a nice car, but as we know, "nice" is always subjective for popular vote). I kind of shrug those things off.

In your case, I completely understand your sentiment. You almost need to have someone else enter the car for you so that "you" are not the one being judged. LOL

In any case, the car is beautiful, and likely deserving of some award. 😉
