No I was just talking about the engine. I believe the year end is original to the car. Date code in picture ends in either a 5 or 6.

Mainly curious is GM and Pontiac 8.875 pinions interchange. If they do, those gear sets will be easier to source. Someone also makes a spacer to adapt series 2 gear sets to a series 1 carrier.

Anyone ever bought any of their products? Still researching, but I’m wondering if one of these spacers and GM gear sets would work if I could fix the difference in splines on the yoke.
