Sunlight is such a killer to materials and finishes which have little to no UV resistance. My original wheel in my '63, while only having one full crack in the clear (several in the black), has lots of internal fissures in the clear and the clear has been yellow since the '70's (at least). (Of course, this is worse for convertibles as there is so much more undiffused sunlight exposure when the top is down.)
My '63 was garage-kept from '68-'72, outside until '76, and has been garage kept since then. I attribute most of the UV damage to the interior to top-down driving and her pre-1968 days. As we know, once UV damage starts, it does not stop simply by removing the item from the sun (it merely slows the already-started degradation).
I would have to agree, however, that those wheels appear to be too good to be original unless both cars were stored inside, covered (which is always possible, I suppose).
