I finally got inside the trunk of the GP here (probably 30 years too late, as whatever trunk floor there was, is no more). IAC, I had forgotten that I'd swapped out the lid for the one from my Catalina parts car (though I still had the original GP lid laying on top of it). So:

Catalina lid (original gold paint, some surface rust on the underside): No label evident anywhere
GP lid (original black paint, considerable surface rust on the understide): No label evident anywhere

I also took a good look at the Bonneville's trunk (original Nocturne blue paint, no rust, some scratches from years of use): No label present or evidence of one in the past

I still have one more spare trunk lid from my gold Bonneville frame donor, built at the Southgate plant. That has the original paint on it, as well, but I would bet that the result will be the same, and there will be or have been no label.

So, at this point, I'm leaning toward the '63 full size cars as not having been equipped with decals on the trunk lid, and instead, only on the jack.
