Yeah that's what I was going to say too, if the pointer is on the crank, it's a crank/cap seal issue.
And as pointed out before, many overlook the sealant on the cap ends.
Close inspection of the dowels and cap are in order too.
Since it's a 3.25 main block, check to see if the anti-rotation holes were properly prepared if using a viton seal.
