I've seen the spacers with the dimples before, they've been around a while. Same principle and reason golf balls have dimples. I've never tried one though.

I'd be interested in experimenting with one, just haven't gotten around to it.

As far as spacers go on single plane intakes, both on the dyno and at the track, I've always had best luck with the 4 hole taper spacers, super suckers, what ever you want to call them. They've worked and provide gains on everything I've tried them on from little 327's to larger 570+ CI engines as long as I was running a single plane intake. I usually run the 1.5" or 2" version.

I've never had any luck with them on a dual plane intake. In those instances I find gains with open spacers.

Either way they are worth spending a little money on different designs and experimenting. Very easy to swap around on the dyno and at the track.
