Spacers need to be track tested. No dyno in the world can simulate the car moving down the track.
With one of my cars when it ran right around 11.0 it worked best with a four hole tapered spacer. It slowed down with a square open spacer. Later on when the power increased and the car ran in the 10.7 range the square open spacer was faster that the tapered four hole. The gains and losses were around .05-.07. This was using a ported T2

Paul, in watching Erics videos on spacers There are 3 that he said to work the best. The tapered HVC 4 hole 4500 to 4150 open 2" spacer was worth 20 HP on all engines. The best one until PRP made their version of that spacer and his test shown it to be even better.
Going to buy that thing.
And that hybrid open spacer that made 20 something lbs torque over everything else had something in common when upside down with the above spacer. They tapper down, get smaller before the air stream hits the top of the plenum.
Venturi effect maybe ? Speeding the air up ?
