Was having inconsistent idle quality as engine went from cold start, to off choke, to highway running temps. Idle was very good on choke, then very rich off choke as engine warmed up. Coming in off the highway, idle was very good, but 400rpm higher. Knowing I had a crack in the base of the heat crossover on the Torker-I manifold, I am thinking it must have grown into the plenum or some runners, so I decided to replace it with a repro RamAir IV. The runners on the new one (Chinese of course), looked a little uneven, so I had Reher-Morrison's techs work on it to balance out the flows. Taking the Torker off, the crack was definitely apparent, but what was more surprising was the granular debris in the heat crossover. I say surprising because the crossover had been blocked on both heads.
