Here's a hot mess. This car is listed as a 69 Firebird at $19K BIN in CA. It looks like a 79-81 plain Jane blue firebird, with red seats (also from a 79-81) and a 70-73 front end and hood from a Formula. I own an 80 Trans AM and have a 72 front end and T/A hood, and I plan to go this route. I think the flippers and spoilers on the Trans AM's really make the transition from front end 73 to rear end 80 more seamless. Not for the purest, but a lot cheaper than swimming in the 70-73 pond. 79-81 Trans AMs pretty much all have power brakes and PS and are great handling cars, especially with the WS6. The car here is overpriced, as it's a mixed bag with a nice paint job. The engine is a 350, so it could run well.
