I got in touch with Mark at Quadrajet Power since that's where I got the rebuild kit from. He suggested it was drilled out and said the early style needle and seat won't fit the bore. Seems like the repair is to helicoil which has it's own issues...

I was trying to reclaim my '68 Q-Jet from my son's car and use this '69, but I'm not optimistic on repairing this.
