You could grind off the pilot area off the factory bolt to gain a little engagement. The pilot is just an assembly aid on the line.

Yeah I was thinking that, definitely agree on the engagement depth not being enough. I was worried the stell at the bottom of the hole could be from the "far side" of the mount and should remain isolated, but a quick continuity test with multimeter shows its in contact already.
